Role

The Sales Development Manager will oversee a team of remote, contract SDRs based in the Philippines who manage all inbound lead qualification for Coast. This leader will be responsible for ensuring speed, quality, consistency and conversion across thousands of inbound leads each month, while helping define the playbooks, processes,\ and standards that allow Coast to scale repeatedly.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-growth SaaS environment, has experience managing remote/global teams, and is passionate about building a high-performing, accountable SDR motion.

This position is hybrid in Austin, Texas (3 days in office / 2 days remote). Our office is located at a co-working facility in downtown Austin.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Directly manage a team of remote contract SDRs (Philippines-based), ensuring high performance, accountability and consistent execution.
  • Coach SDRs through daily/weekly feedback on call quality, process adherence and qualification accuracy.
  • Create a culture of urgency and excellence around speed-to-lead, follow-up SLAs and pipeline conversion.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing and coverage to support an efficient inbound model as needed.
  • Build and continuously refine SDR playbooks, talk tracks, qualification standards, objection handling and workflows.
  • Monitor funnel metrics daily/weekly (lead volume, connection rates, conversion %, booked meetings, pipeline value).
  • Own the SDR team’s KPIs and ensure they meet or exceed monthly goals.
  • Partner with Sales Ops to optimize lead routing, scoring, CRM hygiene and reporting.
  • Work closely with Marketing on campaign alignment, lead quality feedback and optimization of handoff workflows.
  • Collaborate with AEs to understand downstream pipeline quality and adjust SDR criteria where needed.
  • Provide the voice of the customer to Product and Leadership through insights gained in first-touch conversations.
  • Recruit, onboard and ramp future SDR contractors as we expand.
  • Develop training programs that improve product knowledge, communication skills and qualification consistency.
  • Conduct regular QA on calls, emails and messaging.

Because Coast is highly adaptable and can power multiple workflows, you’ll need to quickly learn how customers operate, identify opportunities where Coast can add value and guide them in scaling adoption.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of SDR leadership or managerial experience (SaaS preferred)
  • Experience managing remote, offshore, or contractor SDR teams (strongly preferred)
  • Proven success in a high-volume inbound sales environment
  • Strong analytical ability — comfortable running reports, analyzing funnel metrics and making data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communicator and coach; able to develop junior reps into high performers
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, Aircall, etc.)
  • High ownership mindset, strong process orientation and ability to thrive in a fast-scaling environment
  • Based in Austin, Texas with the ability to work hybrid (3 days onsite)
