Before we jump in, note that Tractian doesn’t offer a free trial or a product tour on its website. But it does have extensive resources across its website, including a blog and training academy. We dug through information available in those resources as well as software review sites like G2 and Capterra to create this Tractian review.

This is worth keeping in mind if your maintenance technicians aren’t tech-savvy. A complicated phone interface can slow adoption and create friction exactly where you need things to move fast.

On top of that, as of March 2026, Tractian had just 33 ratings on the Apple App Store and eight reviews on Google Play, making it hard to assess the mobile experience at any real scale before committing to a paid plan.

However, not everything is perfect. Tractian also offers capabilities beyond the basics. For example, it brings asset tracking directly onto a visual floor plan, delivering a live view of equipment health, location and metrics in one intuitive interface — a level of spatial visibility that goes beyond what most standard CMMS platforms offer.

From here, teams can organize asset trees and tags and access maintenance records at every hierarchical level, with the ability to accurately track key reliability metrics like mean time between failure, asset availability and maintenance costs.
